In 1891, after visiting St-Andrews in Scotland where he discovered the joys of golf, the Grand Duke Michael of Russia decided to build the first golf course between the sea and Siagne river. The Cannes-Mandelieu Old Course, set under beautiful and immense pine trees, was designed by Harry Colt. Crossing the Siagne river with a ferry is one of the characteristic and unique features of this course. The magnificent Normandy style club house and the fragrance of sea breeze, pine and mimosa will leave an unforgettable impression.
